Aditi Shankardass

Dr. Aditi Shankardass is one of the world's foremost researchers of dyslexia and neurological disorders. She is Director of Neurophysiology for Bright Minds Institute, a neurology clinic for children, as well as Director of the EEG Laboratory at the California State University Long Beach. In addition, she is author of a book entitled 'Causal Theories of Dyslexia'. Dr. Shankardass' previous work on brain imaging and dyslexia has been the subject of several publications and presentations, including her prize-winning presentation to the British Parliament. She has been actively involved in raising the public awareness of neuroscience across three continents, including as a consultant to two private hospital chains in India, as a neuroscience consultant for the BBC Science Line in the UK (providing expertise for radio and TV documentaries), and as a board member of the Global Neuroscience Initiative Foundation in the US, an organisation devoted to raising global awareness of neurological and psychiatric disorders. Using EEG technology to further the understanding of the human brain, she is a force behind the understanding and potential cure of dyslexia.
